GUIDELINES.

The Bottleshare Grant Program determines eligibility based on the following criteria

The Bottleshare Grant Program provides emergency financial assistance to craft industry workers who have experienced extreme hardships outside of the workplace. 

 

Bottleshare selects one (1) grant recipient per quarter, and awards them funding in the amount of $5,000. Our grant application process runs on a quarterly basis throughout the calendar year. Awarded funds are distributed in the quarter following the grant application. 


 

2020 Bottleshare Grant Program

 

Q1: 1/31/20 - 3/31/20 (for 2020 Q2 funding)

Q2: 4/1/20 - 6/30/20 (for 2020 Q3 funding)

Q3: 7/1/20 - 9/30/20 (for 2020 Q4 funding)

Q4: 10/1/20 - 12/31/20 (for 2021 Q1 funding)

Eligibility:

 

In order to be eligible for a Bottleshare Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Be officially employed by a registered business in the craft beverage industry, including breweries, wineries, distilleries, and cideries. Contracted / freelance workers are not eligible.

  • Have been employed at current job for at least one (1) year.

  • Work a minimum of thirty (30) hours / week.

  • Be facing an extreme hardship, which prevents them from working for at least two (2) months. An extreme hardship is described as a serious physical injury, illness, death or natural disaster.

 

Applicant is also eligible if the following criteria applies to a significant other / immediate family member who financially provides for the family.

Special considerations may be made for applicants facing substance abuse or mental health issues. Recovery Specific Grants to be implemented in 2021 grant cycle.


 

Grant Funding:

 

Grant award funds may be used to pay for any personal expenses / debts, 

including, but not limited to, the following everyday living expenses :

  • Rent / housing

  • Utilities

  • Cable / phone / internet bills

  • Student loans

  • Car loans

  • Credit card debt

  • Child support / Alimony

  • General household expenses

 

Bottleshare does not fund medical expenses.

How to apply for funding:

 

Step 1:  Eligibility determination via survey and preliminary proposal 

 

Step 2: Submission of full grant application

 

Please refer to 2020 Grant timeline for specific dates and deadlines.


 

Additional Information:

 

  • Each applicant may only submit one (1) proposal per quarter

  • Bottleshare is under no obligation to fund a proposal

  • Materials submitted will become the property of Bottleshare and not be returned.

  • Bottleshare will email applicants with notice of final decisions no later than the last day of each quarter.
